Angahara Dance Ensemble is an internationally touring dance company based in California, USA. Known for their brilliantly disciplined performing skills, their performances have been telecast thrice on PBS. Angahara's dance-theater productions for families/children are filled with humor and striking choreography, and have earned them sold out performances at California venues such as Carpenter’s Performing Arts Center, Luckman Theater, Hollywood Bowl, Grand Performances & John Anson Ford Amphitheater/Kaleidoscope. In 2007 they were commissioned by the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles to create “Tails from India”, a special family program for the opening of the Center's Noah’s Ark Children’s gallery. 2007 - Angahara Youth Ensemble dancers Shiksha, Aarthi & Medha are featured in a Public Service Announcement created by The Way to Happiness Foundation & Church of Scientology to present the message "Respect the Religious Beliefs of Others". This entirely non-religious video will be aired internationally with a target audience of over 40 million. |

Based on India’s 2500 year old animal fables, this production features original lyrics, commissioned music, stunning costumes and masks Traditional choreographies We present beautifully choreographed thematic presentations in the classical Bharata Natyam style.
